Zypendaal House

The Brantsen family’s richly-furnished house
Zypendaal House is a magnificent 18th century country estate situated in a beautifully laid out park close to the centre of Arnhem.
The splendid home and its annexes are situated in a wooded valley, surrounded by water. Part of the house’s ornate interior dates back to the 18th century. The prized marble floor in the hall is decorated with a chain motif. The rooms on view are decorated as they would have been when the Brantsen family, who lived in Zypendaal for generations, were in residence.
The park surrounding Zypendaal House is a lovely place to have a stroll, walk your dog, or picnic at your leisure. You can find rhododendron-edged lawns, waterfalls, streams and ponds. The ponds provide a natural habitat for species such as the kingfisher and grey wagtail. Tours start throughout the day at set times. English tours can be arranged by appointment.
