Verwolde House
See how a noble family lived for two centuries.
The history of Verwolde goes back to the middle ages. The present house was built in 1776, and six generations of the Van der Borch family lived there until 1977.
The upstairs living quarters are decorated in the original 18th century style. Downstairs, an interactive presentation will introduce you to the residents and their staff.
Children will have a great time in Verwolde House. They can try out the footman’s sleeping quarters, arrange a bouquet of flowers, or try their hand at engraving a monogram on cutlery. In the garden, they can go on a treasure hunt.
The upstairs house can be viewed as part of a guided tour. Downstairs can be visited independently. Access to the garden is free of charge.
Tours start throughout the day at set times. English tours can be arranged by appointment.
